11 June 2013 3,343 views No Comment

Car Free Day is Vancouver’s  biggest street party and it’s happening this Sunday June, 16.

The Car Free Day events showcase some of Vancouver’s most vibrant neighbourhoods as they open the streets to pedestrians, vendors and entertainers for a day of community celebrations.

The event is in its ninth year and many Vancouverites have made the day a Father’s Day tradition. There over a quarter of a million people expected to come out to Car Free Day this year. Everyone is encouraged to use an alternate form of transportation to get to the event such as a bicycle, skateboard, or public transit.

For more information including times, maps, street closures and events visit Car Free Vancouver’s website.
