Outdoor Movies in Vancouver

6 July 2012 1,836 views No Comment

During the summer, parks in Vancouver light up at night with outdoor movies. These large events draw large crowds for these events. People begin to gather early and stake out their patches of grass to watch classic movies on a big screen.  These events are so popular that on warm evenings they can draw thousands to watch cinema favourites and classics.

Though these events have only been taking place in Vancouver for a few years, they have quickly become a quintessential part of the Vancouver summer experience.

The closest movie showings to our residences happen in Stanley Park every Tuesday night at dusk. You can find a map of the location of Movies in Stanley Park here.

July 3 – Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure

July 10 – Zoolander

July 17 – Spaceballs

July 24 – The Lion King

July 31 – Grease

August 7 – The Blues Brothers

August 14 – Monty Python and the Holy Grail

August 21 – Labyrinth

August 28 – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Movies usually start at dusk, but we recommend showing up early for the best seats. For your comfort we also recommend that you dress very warmly and bring a thermos of hot chocolate.

Vancouver Extended Stay invites you to say with us this summer to be close to the movies in Stanley Park and other exciting attractions. Book your furnished suite downtown Vancouver now!
